Christ The King group of Our Saviour Parish at Emmaus House at Arthur Eze Avenue , Awka has celebrated their Zonal Harvest and Thanksgiving Service yesterday.

The Harvest , which began with a service at Our Saviour Parish, had it’s Theme as Total Restoration , with the first and second reading taken from the books of Ezekiel 11:14-25 and Hebrews 13: 1-21 respectively.

In his sermon, the guest speaker, Engineer Christian Chukwujekwu stated that positive and right thinking brings better manifestations to people. He urged Christians to work with God and in addition to believing in him, are also to be blameless as was manifested in the life of Abraham.

While speaking with our correspondent, the Parish Priest of Our Saviour Parish, Reverend Azubuike Mgbikeh noted that Christians should have the heart of thanksgiving as it paves the way for other miracles to manifest.

On his part, the Chairman of the Harvest, Honorable Chukwuemeka Pat Orjiako , Popularly known as Ichie Nwachukwugoziri expressed his gratitude to God for his blessings upon his family and entire church.

In his benevolence, Hon Pat Orjiako donated the sum of five hundred thousand naira for the support of the Harvest and sum of two hundred thousand naira to reach out to the less privileged in the church . Also, in support of his benevolence, one of his friends Chief Onyeka Onwurah donated the sum of fifty thousand to the church.

Highlights of the Harvest were lots of entertainment like drama and cutting of the Harvest cake.
