Cross River governor charges security agents to restore order in Calabar

Gov. Ben Ayade of Cross River has directed applicants for the 8,000 automatic jobs to enlist through their respective village heads.

Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River state has directed security agencies to take legitimate actions to stop the arson and arson witnessed in some parts of Calabar.

He also tasked the security agents to carry out a house to house search for looted property and after anyone involved in the looting of the both public and private property in the state.

In a statement signed by the Special Adviser , Media and Publicity to the Governor, Christian Ita, the governor said that he is obligated to protect the collective Commonwealth of the people from those desperately trying to discredit the peaceful disposition of Cross Riverians.

He tasked the citizens to rise in defence of their land and resist the criminal elements keen on destroying the image of the state.

He therefore urged security agencies to return calm to the state.
