CYNOSURE FC WINS THE UDALA NLO PRE-SEASON TOURNAMENT TROPHY

Players of Cynosure FC, yesterday, gave their fans a super valentine gift by beating Udala FC of Uke to become the champions of the 1st edition of Udala NLO Pre-Season Tournament which held at Nero’s Stadium’s Nanka, Anambra State.

It will be recalled that 8 teams played in the tournament, which had Udala FC defeat Aspire FC in the semi final and Cynosure FC beat Dosas FC in the semi final which qualified both teams to play in the finals.

The winning goal was scored by Daberechi Anyanwu in the 26th minute of the first half making Cynosure FC to win 1 goal to nil against Udala FC.

In an interview with our Sports Correspondent, Marvelous Ezenwa, the coach of Cynosure FC, Mr Allen Festus, commended Chief Udala for his kind gesture in sponsoring the tournament, while also adding that the tournament prepares his team for the forthcoming NLO season. Chinemerem Onu , who emerged the best goalkeeper of the tournament said that his training had paid off.

The Chairman and Proprietor if Udala FC , High Chief Chukwunonso Philip Udala said his team has a lot of work to do ahead of the NLO season. He congratulated the winner of the Udala NLO Pre-Season while also advising them to keep their form.

Present at the finals of the tournament were the Acting Chairman, Engr. Victor Aniegwena, the Vice Chairman and board members of the Anambra State Football Association and some of the LFC chairmen and members,among others.

The Most Valuable Player of the tournament, Okafor Emmanuel, thanked the organizers for the good outing and prayed that he gets more international opportunities. Dosad FC player, Godwin Okoyeatu, who won the golden boot with 3 goals, also expressed his gratitude to the organizers.
