Dino Melaye Emerges PDP Guber Candidate For November 11 Election in Kogi State

Senator Dino Melaye has emerged the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the November 11 governorship election in Kogi State.

The party’s primary election held at Kafa’s Hall event centre in Lokoja amid tight security.

According to Senator Ahmed Makarfi, the chairman of the PDP primary election committee who announced the results, Senator Melaye got
313 votes to clinch the ticket .

Recall that before the primaries, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers had branded Melaye a joker, saying the PDP would be embarking on a fruitless mission by handing its ticket to the former federal lawmaker.
