EFCC arrests ex-aviation minister Sirika for ₦8bn Nigerian Air scandal

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has made an arrest in connection with the alleged embezzlement of over ₦8 billion linked to the Nigerian Air scandal.

Former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, was apprehended by the EFCC for his purported involvement in fraudulent contracts awarded to a company owned by his brother.

Sirika is currently under interrogation by EFCC investigators. This arrest comes after an ongoing investigation into money laundering activities totaling over ₦8 billion.
