Nigeria has lost another elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clark, who passed away at the age of 97 on Monday night. His family confirmed the news, stating that further details will be announced later.
Meanwhile, former NIMASA Director-General Dakuku Peterside has mourned Clark’s passing, describing him as a patriot and defender of the Niger Delta. Peterside praised his lifelong fight for justice and urged younger generations to carry on his legacy.
Clark’s death comes just days after nationalist Pa Ayo Adebanjo passed away at 95.
