FG sets December 2025 deadline for PTDF centre in Rivers

The Federal Government has set December 2025 as the deadline to complete the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) Centre for Skills and Development Training in Port Harcourt.

The facility, under construction since 2011, is designed to equip young Nigerians with vocational skills for the oil and gas industry.

During an inspection, Minister of State for Petroleum (Gas), Ekperikpe Ekpo, emphasized the project’s importance in fostering self-reliance.

He confirmed that the project is 92% complete and must be finished this year.
PTDF Executive Secretary, Ahmed Aminu, assured that efforts are underway to meet the deadline, adding that the centre will provide vital training and employment opportunities for Nigerian youth.
