G20 Summit:Tinubu meets leaders of US, Germany, South Korea

Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu has met with leaders of the US, Germany and South Korea on the sidelines of the just concluded G20 summit.

The summit which was held in New Delhi, India, saw Nigeria attend as a guest. It also witnessed the conferment of permanent member title on the African Union.

Announcing the meeting with Mr Tinubu, the White House in a release said that President Joe Biden met with Nigerian President Bola Tinubu on the sidelines of the G20 in New Delhi, India to reinforce an enduring commitment to the U.S.-Nigeria relationship and to the longstanding friendship between the two countries and peoples.

According to a separate statement shared by presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngalale, Mr Tinubu also met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz with whom he discussed economic partnership between Nigeria and Germany.

During the meeting, Mr Scholz notified the Nigerian president of his desire to visit Nigeria in October.

Mr Tinubu also met with South Korea’s President, Yoon Suk Yeol, to discuss similar kinds of partnerships.
