Anambra State Government has received a reinforcement team from the Nigerian Army to assist in restoring peace and security in Anambra State.
The team known as `Nigerian Army Women Corps Special Forces’, were deployed for internal security in order to fish out hoodlums that had invaded the State.
Addressing the team at the Professor Dora Akunyili Women’s Development Centre, in Awka, Governor Willie Obiano urged them to deploy high level of professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
The Governor also enjoined them to work harmoniously with the Nigeria Police, Navy and other security agencies in ensuring peace and unity in the State saying that Anambra has zero tolerance for kidnapping, robbery and other crimes.
He promised to provide necessary logistics to ensure they achieve maximum and excellent results.
The team at the end of the formal reception displayed gallantry and show of force to the admiration of a collection of people at the event.
