In line with the Think Home Philosophy of the Governor Willie Obiano adminstration, Ndi Emume Owuwa Anyanwu has called for more engagement in fostering the Igbo culture through the speaking of Igbo language.
Speaking at the first anniversary and flag off of Akuko Alaigbo and Nma Igbo Mobile Application, the convener, Odogwu Frankel Ogujiuba said he was driven to create a platform to showcase igbo culture to the world and also to get more Igbos from any part of the world connected.
The event which took place over the weekend in Awka had in attendance Commissioner for Diaspora, Culture, Indigenous Art Work and Tourism, Dr Christian Madubuko, Senior Special Assistant on Youths Mobilization Hon.Onwuzulike Lawrence, Igwe Ogochukwu Ezeilo Adisionu of Nanka, Igwe Akajiofor Inyi, Chief Chika Okpala, Popularly known s Zebrudaya, Venerable Chris Orajiekwe among others.
In his speech, the chairman of the occasion, Chief Dr Foster Ifejiofor commended Ogujiuba for the extraordinary act towards uniting Ndi Igbo through a common platform.
Highlights of the occasion were Atilogwu dance by Anambra State Dance Troupe, Cutting of the Anniversary cake and unveiling of the mobile app and presentation of awards.
