The Deputy Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Chukwuma Okoye, has encouraged young individuals aspiring to excel in the sports arena to prioritize education. Speaking as the Chief Guest of Honour at the 10th Inter House Sports Competition of Kabe College, Amawbia held at Awka City stadium, Hon. Okoye emphasized the crucial role education plays in personal development and nation-building.
An alumnus of the college himself, Hon. Okoye highlighted the correlation between academic excellence and success in sports, advising students to strive for excellence in both domains to gain a competitive edge. He underscored the importance of a solid educational foundation coupled with strong moral values in shaping successful individuals who can contribute meaningfully to society.
