The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Kemi Nanna Nandap, has urged applicants to collect their produced passports from various Passport Issuing Centres across the country. In a statement on Friday, Service Spokesman Kenneth Udo revealed that 107,646 passports are awaiting collection.

The CG lamented that efforts to contact the passport owners have been unsuccessful. She advised applicants to provide verifiable addresses and phone numbers when filling out their online passport application forms to facilitate easier contact.

To accommodate applicants, the CG has directed all Passport Offices in Lagos to operate on Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm specifically for the collection of produced passports. Applicants are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.
