Man Arrested For Chopping Off All His Son’s Fingers, Chaining Him For 4 Weeks

Police operatives attached to Nimo Division in Njikoka LG of Anambra state, in collaboration with local vigilante group, have arrested a man for allegedly chopping off the fingers of his son.

In a statement released by the police PPRO, Anambra state police command, Haruna Mohammed.

The police operatives, at about 1 pm on Thursday, arrested one Gregory Enwaeso; male, aged 48years of Egbengwu village Nimo in Njikoka LGA of Anambra State for allegedly to chopping off all the fingers of his son, one Abuchi Enwaeso; male, aged 22years of same address using a machete.
The suspect was said to have conspired with another one of his sons, one Chinonso Enwaeso; male, aged 20years of same address – who was also arrested, to carry out the dastardly act.
The Suspects equally chained the victim and abandoned him for 4 weeks, leaving him in severe pains.

Police detectives, who visited the Scene of the crime, took pictorial evidence and rushed the victim to General hospital, Enugu-Ukwu for medical attention.
Consequently, the machete allegedly used in perpetrating the act was recovered as exhibit.

The suspects who voluntarily confessed to the heinous act claimed the victim allegedly absconded with the sum of #150,000 proceeds realized by the father after throwing up a party following a breakthrough in his business.

The Commissioner of Police John Abang has ordered for the case to be transferred to the State CID Awka for discreet investigation
