A US based medical expert and former governorship aspirant under the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Dr. Godwin Maduka, has affirmed his resolve to defeat the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the November 6, 2021 governorship election in Anambra state.
Dr Maduka revealed that his ambition to govern the state was borne out of the desire to fulfill the yearnings and aspirations of the people through quality representative hinged on Democratic principles, good governance and overall development in its true essence.
He was speaking when he emerged governorship candidate of the Accord Party, at his Campaign office, on Wednesday, 11th August, 2021.
The renowned medical practitioner described Accord Party as one of the most peaceful and united Political party in the country that would give him all the electoral opportunities to govern Anambra state as planned two years ago, when he began his political journey.
According to him, he opted to contest the election under the platform if the Accord Party to put practical effect to the expectations of Ndi-Anambra.
Dr Maduka promised to create employment opportunities for the teeming youths, as well as place women on higher pedestrian to be able to explore their potential for greater exploits.
He lamented that the present administration has failed the citizens in many areas of Human Capital development, especially the non rehabilitation and construction of major roads in the state capital, Awka.
He promised to develop Anambra State to International standard.
The Medical Doctor cum Politician, was received alongside his Deputy, Mr. Kenneth Ohi, by the party state chairman, Prince Batho Igwedibia, amidst funfair from party members and supporters.
In a remark, the State Chairman of the party, Prince Batho Igwedibia, said Dr. Maduka has all it takes to lift Anambra to greater heights.
He urged Ndi Anambra to give him their full support as he has their interest at heart.
