New Tactical Team of the Nigeria Police Force Begins Training Today

As the New Tactical team commences training today the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu has reaffirmed that the new team will operate within very high professional and ethical standards , rule of law and dictates of best international policing practices. To achieve this, the NPF is partnering with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and.ither development partners for the training of the tactical team.

DCP Frank Mba, Force Public Relations Officer, Abuja in a statement released , also said that the training will start today at the Police Mobile Force Training School(PMF), Ila Oragun, Osun State and the PMF Training school, Ended Hills, Nasarawa state.

IGP Adamu also reiterated that no personnel of the defunct SARS will be a member of the new Tactical team. He stated that officers selected for the training have acquired not less than seven years working expert with clean records , no violation of human rights or misuse of arms.

The selected officers shall.also be subjected to physical fitness test, medical and toxicology screening . He also said that anyone found unsuitable shall be discharged.
