The Onwa-tifoluchi Unity Cup has ended with Nimo securing victory over Abangana with 1 goal. The unity cup which was organized by the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Njikoka Chapter was hosted by Chief Austin Oguejiofor , CEO 1st Rotech Groups.

According to our sports reporter, Marvelous Ezenwa, the final game, in which Abagana was unable to score any goal took place on Sunday 22nd August 2021 at St Theresa Catholic church field, Enugwu-Ukwu with lots of music, comedy, and gifts to deserving winners.
The Chairman of Anambra Youths and Sports Development Commission, Chief Tony Oli kicked off the ceremony at 4 pm on Sunday. Many towns in Njikoka participated in the tournament which had Nimo and Abagana emerge as the finalists.

The first half of the game ended goalless while Chidume Onyedikachi scored the winning and only goal of the match in the 73rd minute which left the match ending in the favour of Nimo.
As part of Gov Willie Obiano’s support, the member representing Anambra East/West at the Federal House of Representatives, Hon Chinedu Obidigwe gave 100,00 naira to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.

The Winners, Nimo got 500,000 nairas whole Abagana got the 2nd prize win of 300,000 nairas and Nawfia went home with 200,000 nairas as 3rd place gift. Nonso Nwankwo from Abagana won the most valuable player award.






The event was graced by many dignitaries, among whom were Sports Commissioner Tony Oli, Federal House Member representing Anambra West/East Chinedu Obidigwe, Managing Director of ABS, Uche Nworah, National Youth Council of Njikoka members, among others.
