The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd. has assured the public that fuel queues across the nation will be cleared by Wednesday.
According to the Chief Communications Officer of NNPCL, Olufemi Soneye, the company has an excess availability of over 1.5 billion liters of fuel, enough to last for at least 30 days.
Soneye explained that logistical issues caused a three-day disruption in distribution, but the situation has since been resolved.
Despite efforts to address the disruptions, some individuals are reportedly exploiting the situation for personal gain, leading to increased prices.
Both the NNPCL and the National Vice President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria express optimism that the fuel queues, particularly in Lagos and Ogun states, will ease off soon.
