
Osun State Police Command, on Monday, dragged four persons before an Osun State Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo, for allegedly killing a serving corps member.
The suspected Killers are Jelili Kareem (29), Oludayo Oludele (34), Awodeji Muyiwa (36), Anifowose Buliaminu (25).
The prosecutor, ASP John Idoko, told the court that the three defendants committed the offence on the 28th of January, 2020, at about 10:15 pm at Omo West area Osogbo, by robbing and killing one Mr Adebayo Mukaila and collecting recharge cards worth 300.000.00 naira and stealing the sum of N2,500 from him.
He stated that Kareem, Oludele and Muyiwa reportedly shot and killed Adebayo Mukaila after depriving him of his recharge cards valued 300,000 naira and carted away a sum of N2,500 belonging to victim.
The third accused person, Buliaminu unlawfully received the stolen recharge cards worth 300,000, naira.
The pleas of the first, second and third accused persons were not taken just as the forth defendant who pleaded not guilty to a count charge of unlawfully receiving stolen materials leveled against him.
The Defense Counsel, K.A Adepoju, prayed the court for the bail of the forth defendant, saying his offence is bailable one.
In her ruling, Magistrate Modupe Awodele ordered the remand of first, second and third defendants in police custody and granted the forth defendant bail of 200,000 naira, with two sureties in like sum, one of the sureties must be a civil servant.
She, thereafter, adjourned the matter till July 13, 2020
