By Kalu Idika

Former Sokoto State Governor, Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has expressed confidence that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will win the Presidency in the 2027 general elections.

The former governor made this declaration at a function in the state where food items were shared to especially women and youths to assist them during thus Ramadan fasting period.

Tambuwal maintained that the initiative was a joint effort by PDP lawmakers at both state and national levels, aimed at supporting women and youth groups with bags of rice and other grains to ease the burden of fasting during Ramadan.

“We must recognise the grace of Allah for being alive to witness another Ramadan, despite the many lives lost. We continue to pray for good health and longevity so that we may celebrate many more blessed months of Ramadan,” Tambuwal said.

The lawmaker also commended the dedication of party leaders, acknowledging their relentless work to strengthen and unify the PDP.

“I also want to take this moment to express my gratitude to our party chairman and the leaders of our party for their tireless efforts in organising and mobilising the people, ensuring that our party remains strong and united in Sokoto,” he added.

Tambuwal stressed the need for party cohesion, asserting that the PDP remains determined to reclaim what was lost in the last election.

“By the grace of Allah, what was taken from us will be returned in 2027,” he assured supporters.

Meanwhile, Bello Goronyo, the PDP Chairman in Sokoto State, commended party members for their continued support and loyalty.

He described the PDP as the party that genuinely prioritises the well-being of Nigerians and criticized the APC’s leadership for the country’s current struggles.

Mr. Bello urged Sokoto residents and Nigerians at large to seize the opportunity in 2027 to bring about change.
