The Anambra Police Anti-Cult Unit in conjuction with Obosi community vigilante, on Friday, the 22nd of January 2021 arrested one Chukwuemeka Nwokolo alias (small) ‘m’ aged 25years of Umouta village, Obosi in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State following intelligence report.
According to a statement by the state PPRO, Haruna Muhammad,
Suspect voluntarily confessed to being a member of the “Appache 2-2 Secret Cult Confraternity.”
Following a search of the suspect’s room,
1 locally made revolver pistol and 6 live ammunition were recovered.
He will be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, John B.Abang, thanked “Ndi Anambra” for their cooperation and urged them to sustain the tempo by assisting the Command with actionable intelligence in order to discover authors of crime in the State.
The CP further reassured the public that the command under his watch will continue to protect lives and properties of all the citizens in accordance with internationally acceptable best practices.
