Police in Bauchi Rescues 16 Individuals From Kidnapper’s Den

In Bauchi, the police successfully rescued 16 abducted individuals from kidnappers’ hideouts in the Lame Burra Forest, Ningi Local Government Area.

SP Ahmed Wakil, the command’s spokesperson said that they also eliminated many kidnappers and are actively pursuing those who fled with gunshot wounds. This operation was part of Operation Restore Peace (ORP), a collaborative effort involving the police, military, and local hunters. The rescue mission took place on September 2, 2023, in the Shande area of Kurmi, near Burra village.
