Police Launched Criminal Investigation into Stampede at Travis Scott’s Astroworld Concert

Report has it that Police have launched a criminal investigation and at least two civil suits have been filed after Friday’s stampede at Scott’s Astroworld concert in Houston that killed eight and injured dozens more, as it emerged the Houston police chief personally warned Scott about the energy of the crowd before the show.

The names of all eight casualties were publicly confirmed Monday by the head of Harris County’s governing body, Judge Lina with the youngest casualty a 14 year old Identified as John Hilgert

A man who suffered serious bodily injuries at the concert filed a civil suit, seeking $1 million in damages from defendants including Scott and the show’s producer, Live Nation.

Another lawsuit filed in Houston state court also named Canadian rapper Drake, who was part of the headline set.
