U.S President elect, Joe Biden while delivering his acceptance speech , has stated that his first duty in office will be to bring Covid-19 under control in the country.
Making the speech before the crowd of supporters in his town of Wilmington, Delaware and which was widely televised on Saturday night, he said that the economy cannot be repaired nor life’s precious moments of being with loved ones and doing the things that matter most be relished if Covid-19 is not put under control.
He said that he will name the group of leading scientists and experts as transition advisers to help take the Biden-Harris Covid-19 plan and convert it into actual blue print which will start on January 20, 2021.
It was indeed a historic moment in America as he was joined on stage by first American Female Vice President , Kamala Harris and their families.
Quoting from the Bible, Biden said that this is the time to heal America. While also accepting that the work ahead of them will be hard, he promised to be a president for all Americans.
Also in her speech, Kamala Harris thanked Americans for choosing hope, unity, decency , science and truth above all while describing Biden as an embodiment of all the qualities, while also calling him a healer, uniter, tested and steady hand.
She said she is the first female Vice President but won’t be the last as every young girl’s dream is valid.
