Eddie Pepperrell believes the Ryder Cup is the one golf tournament that really needs the atmosphere of the fans, and agrees with Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm that it should be postponed if that’s not possible.
“The spectacle wouldn’t even be close, he told Sky Sports. “The whole point of the Ryder Cup – the one event in golf that matters, in terms of atmosphere, is the Ryder Cup.
“Probably most concerning, if you care about the result, is what John Rahm and Rory [Mcllroy] said in that neither of them would feel like it would be the same.
“If you’ve got John Rahm and Rory Mcllroy hinting they wouldn’t feel the same away about the Ryder Cup, well they’re the two guys you’ll need playing really well if Europe want to win it” He added.
