Real Madrid coach, Zinedine Zidane has tested positive for COVID-19, a day before the team’s La-liga clash with Alaves.

This was made known by the Spanish club in a statement on Friday.

After successive defeats in the Spanish Super Cup and Copa del Rey, Zidane is under immense pressure and will now have to be replaced by assistant coach, Davide Bettoni in the interim.

In reaction to the development, Bettoni has said Zidane was fine after his positive test, although sad not to be among the players.
