Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Soludo has commissioned a 500m road project from Amansea- Ugwuoba old road
Explaining that the road project was built from cutting the cost of the facility management account for one month.
The facility management account houses money meant for the maintenance of government offices.
According to the report, Before the assumption of the Soludo administration, facility management cost was placed at 137million Naira monthly.
Currently, it has been cut down to 11 million Naira, leaving the Government with 126million Naira in savings.
According to Governor Soludo, the money has been deployed for the rehabilitation of failed roads in parts of the State using direct labor.
The Amansea – Ugwuoba road is part of the failed portion of the road leading to Enugu from Anambra where motorists and commuters spent hours before crossing to neighboring Enugu state.
