ELDER Statesman and former Governor of old Anambra state, Senator Jim Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo has disagreed with the notion that south east Governors are weak.

In a statement on Friday he decried the killing of 21 Igbo youths in Emene-Enugu, saying he was saddened when he heard about the killings and immediately made to ascertain what happened upon hearing the news.

He however absolved the governor of blame, maintaining confidence that Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu state was on top of the situation pointing out that the governor cannot get true facts by making inflammatory comments in the media as just one wrong action of a governor that is based on rumour, falsehood and hearsay could set a state or country on fire.
He further expressed his happiness with the unity and cooperation among south east Governors, emphasizing that we be careful about our actions and statements during these difficult times, especially those of the elders in the society

Recall that earlier in the week, First-Republic Aviation Minister, Chief Mbazulike Amaechi had described south east governors as weak in reaction to the of youths in Emene, Enugu State.
