Speaker, House Of Reps, Abbas, Decries Fresh Killings In Plateau
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has condemned the attacks on communities in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi LGAa of Plateau State on Christmas Eve.
A statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, described the attack as barbaric and heinous, adding that the deaths were “too many,” especially at this time.
He expressed great concern at the trend of attacks by gunmen, bandits and other criminals, who kill innocent Nigerians.
Abbas urged security and intelligence agencies to check further loss of lives and property on the Plateau and other parts of the country.
He also charged them to go after the perpetrators of the dastardly act, apprehend and prosecute them.
“Nigeria has recorded too many losses of lives and property under attacks, and this trend must stop forthwith,” he stated.
The Speaker commiserated with the people and the Government of Plateau State.
He prayed God to rest the souls of those killed, and comfort their families.
