
The new traditional ruler of Ezi Agulu-Otu Aguleri, Igwe Lawrence Nwofia has received the support of the transition committee chairman, Mr Obi Nweke.
Nweke, made this know during the presentation of the new Igwe-elect to the people at the local government secretariat, Otuocha where he reflected that the people of Ezi Agulu-Otu had written to him concerning their displeasure over the spate of events that led to the dethronement of their former ruler. He further pledged to work with the ministry of Local Government and chieftancy affairs to ensure that the administration of the new traditional ruler runs smoothly.
The former Igwe, Enemuo was among the 12 traditional rulers suspended by Governor Willie Obiano over misconduct and was – according to the president-general of Ezi Agulu-Otu, Mr Ikechuchwu Onuorah, subsequently dethroned and replaced by Igwe Lawrence Nwofia.
In his remark, the new Igwe, promised to rule with the fear of God, to render honest services to humanity and be open to useful suggestions from the people.
