Vehicle Crushes Two Men Fighting On Lagos Expressway

Two male adults fighting on the Lagos Expressway were crushed to death by a vehicle.

The incident happened on Tuesday at Oshodi-Oke inward Gbagada Expressway in Lagos State.

It was not known immediately what led to the fight, but eye witnesses said that the victims were hit and crushed by an oncoming vehicle.

According to the report, One of them died on the spot, while the other died few hours later. 

The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, Oluwafemi Oke-Osanyintolu, who confirmed the report said the Lagos State Police Response Unit (LRU) paramedics and other agencies were at the scene. 

The Lagos State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit (SEHMU) later evacuated the body.

Osanyintolu said “Operation was ongoing at about 1.32p.m.:  and upon arrival of LRT at the scene of the incident, it was discovered that two male adult casualties were found on the ground.

“One of the casualties was confirmed dead at the scene. Further information gathered from the police at the scene revealed that the two male adults were fighting on the expressway and were hit by a vehicle.

“The agency’s paramedic team gave first aid to the other victim at the scene, he was then transported to Gbagada General Hospital for further treatment.

“LRT, LRU paramedics and NPF responded at the scene, while SEHMU evacuated the dead victim,” he added.
