EndSARS: Curfew imposed in Akwa Ibom State has been lifted as the State returns to Normalcy

The curfew that was imposed on Akwa Ibom state following the violence that ensued during the EndSARS protest has been lifted.

According to the statement made by the Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Ini EmemObong yesterday, the curfew was lifted due to the normalcy that has returned to the state and consultation with the security architecture of the state.

According to him,
Governor Udom Emmanuel has repealed the earlier directive imposing the curfew.

Government Emmanuel thanked the people of the state for their understanding and cooperation and also commended the gallantry and dedication displayed by the security agencies throughout the period of the curfew.

It also warned that the security agencies will not hesitate to deal with anyone that disrupts the peace in the state or breaks law and order , especially as the Yuletide approaches.
