
The Presidential Task Force on Covid-19, in conjunction with the ministry of youth and Sports Development has lifted the ban imposed on contact sports as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
Owing to the reduction in the cases of COVID-19 across the federation, the Presidential Task Force (PTF) announced the re-opening of Contact sports after being banned for 5 month.
Minister of Youth Development and sports, Sunday Dare made this known through his official twitter handle, where he described the lifting of the ban as a welcome Development.
He added that the move was in line with earlier consultations between the ministry and NCDC, stating that however it did not apply to mass gatherings.
It is now expected that football activities will resume across the nation, however without fans at match venues.
