Former President Goodluck Jonathan has advocated for the use of electronic voting in Nigeria to reduce the use of thugs by some politicians who are bent on grabbing political power.
Jonathan made his known yesterday at the Third Synod of the Diocese of Ogbia at St Mark’s Anglican Church , Otakeme.
Jonathan in a speech said that political activities, particularly the use of young people as militiamen and thugs to win elections has increased the security challenges facing the Nation.
He said that with the use of electronic voting , thuggery and cultism will drop by at least 50 percent.
