President Bola Tinubu is preparing to present the 2024 Supplementary Budget to the National Assembly.
Addressing a joint sitting on today, the President expressed gratitude for the swift passage of the last budget and announced his intention to submit the new appropriation bill soon.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio responded, indicating the Senate’s readiness to receive and review the supplementary budget promptly.
In a session that also marked the first anniversary of Tinubu’s administration and the Silver Jubilee of Nigeria’s 4th Republic, the President confirmed “Nigeria, we hail thee” as the new national anthem, symbolizing national unity and diversity. He urged the Senate and House of Representatives to continue their collaborative efforts to ensure the country’s sustained progress and development.
