Gov. Obiano outlines measures that should be adhered to to curtail the second wave of Coronavirus in the state

Governor Willie Obiano has chided ndi Anambra for getting carried away with the yelutide celebrations and neglecting the non pharmaceutical protocols of Covid-19. To that effect, 110 cases of Covid-19 have been recorded between December 7, 2020 and January 11, 2021. He also made it known that so far, 13, 412 tests have been carried out in Anambra.

Governor Willie Obiano stated that the rise in cases is not good for the state and everything possible must be done to halt the spread of the virus.

Due to the rise of the Covid-19 cases in Anambra, the government has taken measures that will help to stop the spread.

Henceforth, all government offices must observe standard Covid-19 protocols as no one will enter offices without wearing face masks.

Ndi Anambra are also directed to wear their face mask at all times as he also reminded all that the ban on nightclubs is still firmly in place and hotels are to ensure strict compliance to Covid-19 protocols.

The governor also mentioned that public gatherings should have not more than 50 people in attendance.
