Oil marketers in Nigeria have clarified they have no issues with Dangote Refinery and are open to purchasing refined Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from the facility.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Morning Brief, PETROAN President Billy-Harry said marketers are willing to support Dangote’s operations if market terms are agreeable.

This clarification follows a recent dispute where PETROAN accused Dangote Refinery of stifling competition in the downstream sector.

Dangote responded, stating that marketers’ complaints about its petrol pricing—N990 per liter for trucks and N960 per liter for ships—stem from their desire to import cheaper, substandard products.

Billy-Harry noted that PETROAN and Dangote Refinery will meet this week to strengthen their business relationship, emphasizing that PETROAN respects Dangote’s contributions to Nigeria and is eager to work together.
